Four Ghosts

The patterns of the four tapestries derived from a blotter found in the archive of a lady (A. de B. Antoinette de Bach van Loon, 1891-1981) who was “conversing” with a spirit guide through the medium of automatic writing during forty years. Out of A. de B’s archive Aëgerter was struck by the beauty of the blotter with its rhythmic signs, remnants of lost significances. The document appeared to be a coded message, an imprint of a soul.
Aëgerter intertwined those patterns with phosphorescing appearances of the museum staff.
