Pietre Paesine is a series of five tapestries, created in the wake of the monumental tapestry Epic of the Mind.
As it happens regularly in my practice, I kept brooding on the just realised work and in the late hours, new pieces came to life, like in a rhizomic field.
Several motifs from Epic of the Mind appear in recomposed landscapes, in different in scale and color schemes and intertwined with new elements.
The ‘Pietre Paesine’ series arise as flash backs from the ‘mother piece’.
Images disappear and reappear in new arrangements, as in part of a dream looking for new outcomes.
